Founded in 1972, West Oak Lane Senior Center (WOLSC) is located in Northwest Philadelphia. Since its establishment the West Oak Lane Senior Center has been making its mark on the older adult community. We have established ourselves as the place in the neighborhood where you can come to get resources, keep active, have fun and laugh in the most family friendly atmosphere.
For years we have mentored our youth and supported our older adults. We are open and available to share and/or learn new talents. The staff, Advisory Council and volunteers takes pride each day in serving our peers and participants daily. We offer a wide range of activities, programs and services that encourages an active healthy lifestyle. Programs include, health and wellness programs, various exercise programs, congregate lunch, arts and cultural activities, transportation, social services, counseling, computer instruction, internet café’ with FREE Wi-Fi, fitness center, sewing lab and other relate community service resources. Our philosophy is Keep it Movin’. The more active you are physically; mentally and socially the longer you will be vital in personal, family and community life.
